Eating and exploring our way through the world

Cheesecake Factory Apps and Dessert

Posted by Amanda @ The Hungry Wanderers on July 6, 2009

Now, I imagine that most of you have been to the Cheesecake Factory before, but who doesn’t love to see pictures of cheesecake? 🙂 As you’ve seen in the other posts, the Husband and I ate A LOT this weekend.  Now, don’t get me wrong – we totally enjoyed it! But we were less hungry when it came time for dinner on Sunday.  On Saturday I had suggested we grab cheesecake to eat during fireworks, but after dinner at Whitlow’s on Wilson, we were just too full.  The Husband decided that tonight’s dinner would revolve around cheesecake and the Cheesecake Factory.

I always love how Cheesecake Factories look – so colorful and ornate but in a good way!

Since the entrees are enormous (easily two, three or four meals worth of food), but we didn’t want just cheesecake for dinner, we decided to get one or two appetizers to start off.

While waiting for our appetizers, we enjoyed their complimentary bread: sourdough and pumpernickel.  And I had their delicious Strawberry Lemonade 🙂 (It usually has large chunks of strawberries in it and it has free refills!)

Then the appetizers arrived and we realized that they were bigger than we expected!

Fried mac n cheese (there were actually 4 but we forgot to take the pic before digging in!)

Then came the best part! Cheesecake!  I originally ordered the Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake, but theirs was frozen and wouldn’t be ready for 20 minutes.  So, I decided to get the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.

The Husband got the Chocolatte Raspberry Truffle cheesecake.

As I usually do, I ate about half the cheesecake and took the rest home.  Can’t wait to have more bites when the desire strikes over the next few days!
